The Optimal Productivity for Financial Planning Professionals webinar program has been developed in consultation with Financial Planning Professionals working as salaried professionals in Banks and Large Dealer Groups, Industry Super Funds, Boutiques and supporting industries.

Tools such as individual productivity profiles, quarterly and weekly planning templates, and workflow management tools provide you with a consistent structure to assist you to create sustainable efficient and effective habit changes.

Better habits will help you deliver excellent client outcomes, maintain high quality compliance standards, and achieve strong revenue results.

Our next Four Week Intensive is an online program which kicks off in October.

This activity has been accredited for continuing professional development by the Financial Planning Association of Australia but does not constitute FPA’s endorsement of the activity.   Accreditation number 008456 for 6 hours:

Delivery Methodology

We facilitate a virtual classroom learning experience once per week over the four-week period.  

Each week you’ll receive the recording of your lesson for the week, tools to complement the training (such as planning tools, or an email guide), a list of learning outcomes and tips to help you apply each lesson.

Content is provided via webinar over four weeks.  You are provided with:

  • Access to a 90 minute webinar every week for 4 weeks; 
  • Recordings so that you can watch each virtual lesson at your convenience.
  • Free workbooks to ensure you get the most out of the program;
  • Productivity Audits to help you benchmark your productivity strengths and development areas against the market; and
  • Email access to a Productivity Coach.

Week 1: Personal Efficiency for Financial Planning

Module one introduces you to the concept of sustainable habit change.  

We discuss the small habit changes that can save you hours and hours each day.  

Week 2: Creating Optimal Financial Planning Environments

In module 2 we introduce frameworks to help you better manage the information that comes across your desk each day. 

This module includes coaching at the desk, and time is put aside during and after the workshop to clear out the clutter from your desk, email and soft files.  

You will also learn strategies to help you overcome the time wasting habit of procrastination.

You can save up to 6 weeks per year by keeping a well organised information management system.  

Week 3: Optimal technology and communication habits

Module 3 focuses on using technology as an enabler.  

You will learn how to use your inbox, calendar and task management functions to help you become more efficient and effective. 

You learn how to build productive relationships, write effective emails and communicate in a way that encourages optimal productivity.

This helps you set boundaries around reactive tasks like email processing. 

The framework also ensures that communication is responded to in a timely manner, with the appropriate detail.

Week 4: Effectiveness in Financial Planning. How to think, plan and act.

Module 4 moves from focusing on saving time through efficiency to being strategic by thinking, planning and taking massive action. 

After completing this module, you will have developed a 90 day plan, and have learned how to use a weekly planning tool to help you to be more effective. 

This process helps you hone your focus on what’s important.  This also ensures that high value activities are identified, and time is dedicated to important work each week.

Bonus Material:  Sustainability, Mindfulness and Managing Your Energy (2 Modules)

This module teaches you to manage your energy, not just your time.  You will learn techniques to apply greater focus to your tasks and maintain presence of mind. 

We teach four different meditation techniques to help you to be more present, overcome anxiety and develop greater mindfulness over the course of the day.  

This module helps you manage your energy levels over the course of each day, setting in place an operating rhythm each day, week, month, quarter and year.

Our sustainability module, takes you through techniques and strategies to help you continue to improve your performance long after the course finishes.
